Children’s Day Treatment Center
A day-treatment program for severely emotionally disturbed children, ages 5 to 13, who are able to live at home or in a community residence, but require therapeutic and special education services.
Residential Treatment Facility (RTF)
An RTF for young, emotionally traumatized disturbed children. Children are referred by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). This 32-bed program provides a rich, intensive treatment experience and special education for children, ages 5 to 13. Children often have diagnoses such as psychosis, depression, bipolar disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder. Intensive clinical services including psychiatric treatment, individual, family, group, milieu and ancillary therapies are provided in a structured and nurturing home-like environment.
