Our Approach
We work with children and their families to help them understand:
- How every child has unique needs.
- How past experiences can influence parenting.
- Ways to build strong, nurturing, and safe bonds between parents and children.
- How children can overcome any barriers to reach their full potential.
Our Services
At the Brownsville Child Development Center, our services for families with infants, toddlers, and children include:
- Comprehensive evaluations to help you understand the struggles your child is facing
- Individual play therapy and evidence-based interventions such as Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help your family overcome any barriers.
- Parent support groups to help parents feel less alone and gain concrete skills.
- Collateral/individual therapy for parents to help those parents whose own experiences may be impacting them.
We serve families with infants, toddlers, and children. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid, and offer options for families without insurance coverage. No family is ever turned away.
