The Jewish Board’s offers professional development to students in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, and Creative Arts Therapy. Interns assist in delivering health and human services for community recovery.

Internships are available at The Jewish Board for Fall semesters. MSW and BSW students must contact their school field placement offices to apply. We only accept students from affiliated schools.

Our internship program only accepts students from affiliated schools. School administrators can request to become affiliates by filling out our Internship Affiliation Request Form. If you are a student, please contact your school’s field placement office so that they can initiate an affiliation with us.

When do internships start?

What flexibility do you offer for busy students?

Our sites have various scheduling needs, so we are often able to match students with busy schedules with sites that can accommodate them.

Do we take students for summer internships?

We do not have summer interns at this time.

Can I intern at The Jewish Board if I’m already an employee?

Yes, employees in good standing are encouraged to apply! Please go to our internet and search for the “Internship Placement Request Form.”

What kind of training will I get as an intern?

In addition to agency-wide trainings, interns also benefit from monthly trainings on designated clinical and behavioral health topics throughout their internship year.

Will my supervisor be on site?

You will always have a supervisor on site. It will either be your SIFI supervisor (for MSW students) or a task supervisor.

Are there stipends and how do they work?

Only graduate-level MSW, MHC, and CAT students are eligible for stipends. Stipends are dispersed via direct deposit within 60 days of students starting their internship.

What can I do if my school does not have an affiliation with The Jewish Board?

Your school can fill out our Internship Affiliation Request Form. Your next step should be reaching out to your school’s field placement office and asking them to fill out the form.
