Renee, LCSW
Learn how Renee's listening skills help her support New Yorkers and which of The Jewish Board's values resonates with her the most.

What initially made you want to enter this field?
Wanting to help others and make a difference for those affected by life circumstances. I am an excellent listener and have always wanted to be in a profession where I could help others.
What’s an average day like for you at The Jewish Board?
My day consists of reading and responding to emails, following up on projects and deadlines, coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff and clients.
What’s your favorite part about your work?
Being a mentor to others. Watching staff grow and develop their skills.
Which of The Jewish Board’s core values resonates with you most?
Treat Each person with dignity. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. It’s hard to ask for help, so when a client or family comes to us, we must remember that showing compassion to the person you’re supporting and treating them as you would yourself helps show you care.
You spend so much time caring for others; what’s one way you practice self-care?
Binge-watching TV series, spending time with family, and going on cruises.
What’s the last song you listened to?
Mary J Blige: Be without you.
