Yuisa, Human Resources Director

Learn Yuisa's favorite part of her job and how she embodies our agency's values.

Yuisa has been with The Jewish Board for nine years, first as an HR Generalist and now as HR Director for our Jewish Community Services, Community Behavioral Health, and the Administrative Departments. As part of the HR Department, Yuisa develops and implements programs and processes that support the agency’s mission of strengthening families and communities throughout New York City and our workforce’s needs, leading to improved employee engagement, empowerment, growth, retention, and wellness.

What is your average day like at The Jewish Board?

My average day at the Jewish Board is never dull. With meetings and program needs arising weekly, the day-to-day activities of my role will certainly keep someone busy, to say the least!

What is your favorite part about your work?

My favorite part of what I do is working with an amazing team of people from my HR department and various divisions. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with most of the divisions, and each one has contributed significantly to my growth as an HR Director.

Why do you think our value of “Strive to be Outstanding” is so important?

Striving to be outstanding is important to me for personal growth. My role is always challenging in many ways, helping me to lead better, overcome obstacles, and build resilience and determination.

What song or album do you listen to when you need a burst of energy?

My go-to album might show my age 😂, but I absolutely love Mariah Carey’s “The Emancipation of Mimi.”
