What is your average day like at The Jewish Board?

A typical workday involves a lot of interactions with schools and other community-based service providers to provide psychoeducation and ensure access to Jewish Board Crisis Services. My workday also includes providing individual supervision to program staff, ensuring a timely crisis response, and monitoring program outcomes to ensure that our programs provide the most effective service possible while meeting their objectives.

What is your favorite part about the work you do?

Mentoring staff is the most enjoyable part of my job. It has been my privilege and pleasure to watch so many staff grow personally and professionally during my time at The Jewish Board. It has truly been a rewarding experience.

Why do you think the value “Treat Every Person with Dignity” is so important?

I believe that every person has value, and when people are treated with dignity, we reinforce their self-worth and provide them with a safe space to become the best versions of themselves.

What song or album do you listen to when you need a burst of energy?

My playlist is such a medley of artists and genres from Pop, R&B, Country and Hip-Hop. But if I have to pick one song that is sure to get me up and moving, it’s “Yeah” by Usher. Whether I’m exercising or doing housework, that song always gives me that needed extra boost to get the job done.
