Kristy, Residence Manager

See how Kristy ensures the building is run effectively, care is provided in a timely manner, and residents are supported.

Kristy has been with The Jewish Board since 2018. Currently, she is a Residence Manager at one of our Brooklyn Apartment Treatment programs, where she ensures the building’s operations are run effectively, therapeutic care is provided in a timely manner, and residents are supported.

What is your average day like at The Jewish Board?

The average day for me involves documenting work completed in resident apartments and working closely with clients and program staff during times of crisis or when additional support is needed. I also participate in the inspection and apartment walkthrough process and prepare apartments for tenancy when an apartment becomes vacant.

What is your favorite part of the work you do?

My favorite part of this work is witnessing the growth and progress of our clients and being part of their breakthrough moments.

Why do you think our value “Engage Individuals and Families as our Partners” is so important?

I think this is important because it empowers rather than controls and improves outcomes.

What song or album do you listen to when you need a burst of energy?

Lose Yourself by EMINEM from the 8-Mile album.
