LOWER EAST SIDE KNISH AND CANDY TOUR

This walking tour, led by the Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy, features famous landmarks on the Lower East Side. Learn about Seward Park, the first Jewish Yiddish Newspaper, Straus Square and much more - all while sampling the delicious treats of famous bakeries, candy shops, and confectioners.
GUIDED TOUR OF THE TENEMENT MUSEUM

Learn the history of the Lower East Side through the life of the Gumpertz Family, who received services from United Hebrew Charities, a predecessor agency of The Jewish Board. Lunch reception to follow.

This half-day symposium will feature panels and talks by historians and experts in the field of social services, including Dr. Regina Kunzel of Yale University and Dr. Deborah Doroshow of Yale University and the Tisch Cancer Institute at the Icahn Medical School, Mt. The Jewish Board’s annual Spring Benefit celebrates our agency’s past and present by bringing together honorees in recognition of the extraordinary work they do to help support New Yorkers in need.
