We support people with autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other intellectual or developmental disabilities in achieving a full and rich life. Guided by the beliefs and practices of Orthodox Judaism, we assist with daily living, nursing care, and therapeutic intervention, at home or in one of our specialized residences.
Our Mishkon program’s team of medical professionals, behavior specialists, social workers, and direct support professionals help participants meet their personal goals, participate in activities, and enjoy being part of the community. Services are tailored to an individual’s level of self-care, learning, mobility, and function and are offered regardless of age, gender, race, or specific religious practices.
At Mishkon, we offer Individualized Residential Alternative opportunities for supervised individuals living in homes located throughout Brooklyn, providing personalized support and services as well as 24/7 staffing and clinical oversight.
For individuals who need a greater level of care, Mishkon also provides Intermediate Care Facilities—residential opportunities with increased supervision and support provided by our warm and caring staff, as well as comprehensive 24/7 nursing care.

Mishkon serves individuals from 5 years of age through advanced age. Though Mishkon is a Jewish program, people of all faiths are welcome. We provide services regardless of a person’s ability to pay–this includes the underserved, those with little to no income, and those who are uninsured or on Medicaid. We also provide care to active-duty military personnel and veterans. We accept most major insurance plans.
