Supervised Independent Living Programs (SILP)
Everyone deserves to feel safe and thrive. Supervised Independent Living Programs (“SILP”) are residences for 12 young adults, ages 18 to 20, with significant trauma histories resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional issues. Our SILP provides a safe, nurturing environment for our young people while developing the skills needed to be successful within the community and live more independently.
During their stay, which can be up to a year, we help youth learn how to problem-solve more effectively, build skills to have better control over their future, and develop self-awareness and self-confidence to achieve their aspirations, all while teaching practical skills like home maintenance, meal preparation, financial literacy, and time management. We also offer comprehensive therapeutic services, independent living skills, vocational preparation, and educational services.
