HereNow

A Jewish teen-led mental health movement that supports wellness and emotional resilience through creativity, events, and innovative online platforms.

HereNow is a platform and network for Jewish teens to meet, share what matters to them, and include their friends and peers in the conversation. The more open teens are about their feelings and challenges, the more open their friends, classmates, and families are likely to be about theirs.

How HereNow Works

Studies show it is important for teens to learn about mental health, wellness, and resilience. By sharing stories and experiences, teens destigmatize mental health challenges, encourage each other to seek help, promote a greater understanding of mental health, and provide support for each other.

We connect teens at the macro level. Through our social media campaigns, website, app, and online content, we create a conversation across the city, state, and country. Through online campaigns and programming, teens share how they hold and accept their struggles while also loving and celebrating themselves. Teen-authored articles, produced in partnership with 70 Faces Media, include sharing stories and experiences.
Developing leadership is integral to HereNow’s model and design. Teens can get involved through a range of levels and actions, including our teen advisory board that guides our online content and social media throughout the year, helps write creative articles on topics like failure and healthy relationships, and develops programming to spread mental health awareness to the wider world of Jewish teens. We’re always thinking up new ways to develop teen leadership and inspire teens to take ownership of their mental health!
