Helps adults, age 18 and older, struggling with mental illness, emotional and/or social problems. Specialized services include individual, couple, family and group therapy, as well as evaluation, assessment and medication management.
Bronx REAL PROS
Offers recovery-oriented and rehabilitation services for individuals 18 years and older who are living with mental illness. Participants develop personalized recovery plans to realize life role goals and integrate into the community. The program utilizes evidence-based practices, person-centered individual and group services, and optional vocational and clinical services to assist participants in achieving their goals.
Recovery MICA Self-Help Program
REAL Recovery is a community-based program that utilizes a harm reduction approach for treating adults who are in various stages of recovery from substance abuse and who are also coping with mental illness. The program offers both group and individual modalities, and participants in the program are encouraged to support each other in achieving rehabilitation goals.
Bronx REAL Apartment Program
A scattered-site apartment program that provides transitional housing for adults with mental illness. The program’s philosophy is to provide a normalizing, home-like environment where direct care workers assist residents to work on basic living skills and recovery goals to integrate into the community. The residents participate in a variety of community and program activities such as voluntary services, employment, advisory committees and program activities. Supported Apartment Program
Provides permanent housing for adults with mental illness who are able to live independently. Through bimonthly visits, workers support the residents as they develop and maintain their recovery goals. Residents engage in a variety of community activities such as full-time and part-time employment, educational activities, voluntary services and other civic events.
