The Rita J. and Stanley H. Kaplan House is a Residential Treatment Program for 25 young men ages 17 to 21. They predominantly come to Kaplan from the foster care system but may also be referred through the New York State Juvenile Justice system. Our residents have significant trauma histories, resulting in behavioral, emotional, and functional issues (and possible developmental deficiencies) that make it impossible to live in a more typical family setting. Kaplan House provides a safe, nurturing environment to help residents heal from and cope with past traumas. We offer comprehensive therapeutic services, independent living skills, vocational preparation, and educational services.
