The Caroline K. Simon Residence is a congregate care facilities which houses approximately 10 to 24 residents, similar to a group home. At the Caroline K. Simon Residence, our goal is to move residents to a less supportive level of care within 18-24 months upon successful completion of the program.

Exclusively for people with mental illness who are 18 years of age or older, we consider applicants who have low to moderate ADLs and have some insight into their mental health needs. These are Level II residences, staffed 24 hours a day, seven days aweek. The rent is SSI Level II or PA Level II. Residents usually receive the minimum PNA for personal items.

If you feel that you or a loved one may be a candidate for supportive housing, your first step is to make sure they are eligible. Eligibility requirements for supportive housing differ depending on where someone resides in New York. Most units are designated for single adults who are homeless and need mental health support.
